In 2023, Formaggioteca Terroir was awarded the prestigious title of "Cheese Bar of the Year" at the Italian Cheese Awards, Italy's leading national competition dedicated to artisan cheese excellence. Presented in Ancona, the award recognized Formaggioteca Terroir for its unique concept, outstanding cheese selection, educational tastings, and commitment to promoting the culture of artisan cheesemaking. This distinction places Formaggioteca Terroir among the most respected cheese-focused destinations in Italy.


In 2023, Formaggioteca Terroir was awarded "Best Gastronomia of Florence" by Il Forchettiere, one of Tuscany's leading food and restaurant publications. The award recognized the originality of its concept, combining artisan cheeses, carefully selected wines, educational tastings, and a strong commitment to promoting small-scale producers and gastronomic culture. This distinction established Formaggioteca Terroir as one of Florence's most respected specialty food destinations.


Sasso Forte, the signature blue sheep's milk cheese created by Alexandre and Émilie Valette of Ferme d'Alcas and matured in the natural aging caves of Campo Sasso, has received international recognition for its exceptional quality. In 2025, it was awarded a Gold Medal at the Concours International de Lyon, one of Europe's leading dairy competitions. The cheese also earned a Bronze Medal at the World Cheese Awards, the world's most prestigious cheese competition, confirming the success of this unique collaboration between artisan cheesemaking in Roquefort tradition and affinage in Tuscany.
